I think we could love these with some tweaks. My 4 year old son enjoys building all the different things he either imagines or that are in the booklet.The biggest issue I have is that while my son can build with these and practice motor skills, hand-eye coordination, etc… in order for the pieces to stay together, there has to be a washer. That’s just not possible for all builds, especially when the screws are in a block. For example, my son saved money he earned over the course of a month to buy this specific toy because he wanted to build the robot. He built it…and the arms kept falling off if he tried to play with it. He handled it well and still plays with it occasionally (we bought it 4 months ago). I think if the builds stayed together after he was done, he’d be more likely to use it more often. Because playing with the creations is part of the joy of the toy, I can’t rightly give this product 4 or 5 stars.

My grandson plays with a similar brand at daycare and loves them. So I bought him a set for his birthday. He plays with them ALL the time. Only issue was it says it came in a storage box, but it did not.

My spouse thought our kid would love these. And he did, for about an hour.The main issue is that the distribution of the pieces by shape and color doesn’t exactly align with the included instructions.For example, did you think the dinosaur you were going to build was going to have a red tail? Guess what, that piece is really orange! Or maybe it’s blue, or green, or literally any color other than what’s pictured in the manual.This disappointed my kid, since he wanted the builds to EXACTLY match the pictures. Sorry, pal, but what’s provided is all there is. If you wanted your dinosaur to have that red tail, well you’re just going to have to use your imagination!

Purchased for my 3 year old. She really loves them and is able to play with the creation after it’s built. For a 3 year old this is definitely not an independent play activity, but a great activity to do with parents. We would purchase again and probably go with a bigger set.
