My son was obsessed with Thomas and Friends so for his birthday, me and the misses used this as his cake topper. He was happy to see the cake and excited to see a Thomas toy on it, but he lost his mind when I pressed the button on the toy to play the theme song. This review is late as he’s turning 5 this year, but he still loves this toy and the song still plays.

It was the perfect size and a creative way to make my son’s birthday cake more fun! Plus he loved adding it to his collection of trains. It plays the Thomas theme song too when you push the button. He may have loved the train more than the actual cake!

I totally thought this was going to play the birthday song because of the birthday theme… Instead it plays a song from the Netflix show (no lyrics) since this is celebrating a birthday of the Thomas franchise. It’s the “they’re 2, they’re 4, they’re 6, they’re 8. Shunting trucks and hauling freight” song. However, the train is still adorable, my son loved it and it was perfect as a cake topper.

Kid loved the toy, wouldn’t touch a bite of the cake?. Works great on Brio and Ikea tracks. It’s taken a beating and the song is still going. He loves it, definitely worth it!
