We purchased this toy set as a gift for our curious three year old, who loves all things that go. The toys are a big hit! He takes them with him into every room in the house in order to play with them on and off throughout the day. In addition, they are durable. Our son often takes toys apart and many times connecting pieces of the toys are broken off, however, that is not the case with these toys. Any pieces he has removed (back tire, doors, trailer tailgate) are easily put back together. I recommend this set for any child who loves construction toys.

Our 5 year old son loved this set and picked it out from the numerous Bruder truck options on amazon.com. He loves that the trailer has ramps and spends a lot of time loading various cars, trucks and hot wheels on and off the trailer.Great quality, haven’t noticed any abnormal breakage or problems with this toy. We are rough on our trucks so yes the doors come off sometimes, but they pop back into place very easily. Couldn’t beat the price for this set on Amazon.

We have purchased several Bruder trucks, three with the land rover, one horse van, one with the Jeep, with mixed results.First the good: The toys have many interesting features, suspension, opening doors, etc. and they feel solid and well constructedwith only a couple exceptions. These play very well indoors. Now the bad: First, the spare tire, ehile removable, is held in place by a thin plastic peg which broke within about a week. The Jeep and Land Rover both are off road vehicles, but, their steering quickly packs with sand and dirt then jams solid, frustrating my son and daughter both. Forcing things quickly degrades the mechanism and the previously decent steering is ruined. Playing in a stream messid that up in one afternoon. Additionally, the silver stickers on the rover are paper not vinyl, so they wrinkle up in water in short order. I expected these trucks to play better in dirt, mud and water, being, ya know, the two most popular off road vehicles.Possible fixes: I will probably clean off the stickers and paint in those areas with model paint. I can probably fab a new spare tire mount by drilling in a #6 machine screw. I’m not sure what to do about the steering though.

Bruder makes the best plastic toys. These are definitely not the sturdy metal Tonka toys from the late 60โs and early 70โsIf your child wants to take this in the dirt and play hard with this toy, it is not for him/her. If they want a scaled model of the original and they are mature enough to be careful with it, they will love it. We bought my sone one of the fire engines and he broke the ladder pretty fast.

I only recently found out about Bruder Toys after stumbling upon You Tube unboxing videos. Though they are made of plastic instead of cast metal, they are still made well. The attention to detail is really wonderful. And the size of the toys is slightly bigger than I expected–but that’s also a plus. Even the people that come with the sets have multiple moving joints and are more realistic that most other brands. They have a wide range of items (construction, farm/ranch, recreational vehicles, etc.).Since many of the toys can fit with or work with others, it’s easy to build a nice collection of Bruder toys. (I think we’ll have a new Bruder Toy addiction now.)

We decided that we would spend more for better quality toys this year for Christmas and after reading reviews we thought bruder would be a good option. After paying almost $100 for a land rover and trailer we were very disappointed that it didn’t even last a week. We also bought a truck and trailer that was also bruder and they didn’t make it 2 days. The cheap toys my kids got each other from Walmart have outlasted these and I will never be buying another bruder toy! They are not worth the money.
