I bought two of these ships– one for my son and one for a friend’s son. What a hit! Both boys have plays with this toy for hours. Every feature of this ship is well thought out, well engineered, and built to last. I love the rearing dragon head best of all. Great touch! The ship sails easily along the floor on its low profile wheels. The included “guys” are the perfect size and have gone on many adventures on board this ship (from sailing, to rigging the sails, to hoarding their treasure, to sleeping in the captain’s quarters…) and in many of my son’s other trucks and toys. My son also loves that they come with armor since knights are another obsession of his! I don’t normally buy my son toys that shoot, but even I have to admit that this toy’s cannon is great fun. This is the perfect pirate ship and a great investment. I expect that we’ll be playing with this ship for years.

My 4 year old son received a plethora of toys this year for Christmas but this was the one he was the most excited about. He has been playing with it non stop and LOVES it. There are so many different little things this ship does that he discovered. My husband has been playing with my son and the ship as well. They are both having a lot of fun! It is very thick plastic and durable.

This is the second Imaginext large toy I have purchased. Both have been a lot of fun for my 5 year old boy. My only small complaint about this toy is that it does not float. It really is a small complaint as my son still has fun playing with it on the ground or even in the bath (it is a sunken treasure ship). Absolutely couldn’t beat the price. This was selling for $35 and up at Walmart and Toys-r-Us.

What can I say, another great imaginext toy! My almost 4 year old son is into pirates, super heroes, and cars. He had the other pirate ship and when I saw this one at $16 on Amazon, I had to order it. He LOVES this ship, and the 36 minute DVD that came with it. Its bigger than I expected and has little hidden captains quarters and compartments. We love how it looks like its moving in water when you push it. Our house is an imaginext house! Durable, imaginative fun for hours!

I gave this to my grandson for his 3rd birthday and it was the hit of the day. He needed nothing more! He was delighted as were his parents. He’s having great fun using his imagination to create a variety stories and scenarios. In addition it does not require a great deal of space so its very convenient and easy to transport from a smallish Manhattan apartment to their summer beach house. I gave a similar one to an older grandson when he was 3. He’s now going on 8 and still gets it out from time to time. I highly recommend this item.

The serpent pirate ship was my second imaginext purchase, the first being the dragon castle. My two nephews ages 3 and 5 adored the castle of course I had to get the matching pirate ship. The ship is durable and stands up to their EXTREMELY hard play! The colors are bright and vibrant. This is such a great toy for imaginary play. There are several small pieces but it has been fine as it has taught them to take care of their toys and keep track of all the parts. I would highly recommend this toy and other Imaginext toys.

This was purchased for my grandson’s 6th birthday and I am so glad I made this purchase! He loved his serpent (he called it a dragon) pirate ship and played with it for hours on the day he opened it! Of course, I sat on the floor and played also. We had such fun. This is truly an excellent gift for any child and I have only good things to report! Terrific value for the money and the product is well made.

This is a fantastic toy for a 3-6 year old child (a truly unisex toy, for a change) who is too big for baby toys but not old enough for conventional action figures yet. Perfect size, lots of interactivity (the sails unfurl with the a single turn, the “wings” on the sides open up, the paddles row when the boats rolls, the dragon head juts out and the mouth opens when you press on the tail…tons of fun stuff!) Smart and well-designed. Very well-made. (Almost too well-made as it is a bit heavy for a little one to carry around π The figures are cool pirates but not too scary with lots of awesome accessories. Kudos to Imaginext! This whole series (and most of the Imaginext stuff) solves for a niche in kid’s toys that no other brand has managed to solve for as successfully. Would definitely recommend as a gift.
