Our 2.5 year old son is obsessed with excavators. This didn’t have too many little pieces that we would be concerned about putting them in his mouth and possibly choking. It was nice to have some of them put together already so that he could easily click them in and use the screwdriver to tighten. He loves pushing it around and using the scooper.

We bought the Cat Construction Build Your Own Junior Crew Dump Truck & Wheel Loader Building Toys as gifts, so did not open them. They come in a box with a handle to carry, which is great for younger kids. They both look like a good size, so we hope they will enjoy them!

It’s a great toy. Way better to have a manual screw driver to teach dexterity. There’s no need for a toddler to have an electric screw driver, that teaches them nothing!Only complaint is the box is very difficult to open, I have to open it for my 3yo and it take a good amount of effort from me.

It is definitely a good buy. My son loves construction toys. We have CAT bulldozer and dump truck. We use it for the sensory play. He would play with beans and rice for hours. It was our first buildable (take-apart) construction toy and he truly enjoys taking apart and rebuilding the excavator.It’s all plastic so my son can even bring it to bath time!

This is GREAT! I bought 2 styles. My 3-year-old needed support the first few times when putting it together and taking it apart. Now, he can mostly do it independently. He loves it! He loves taking it apart, putting it together, and playing with it. The toy is intuitive and so well made. It’s also great for promoting fine motor skills.
