My son has a big collection of Disney Pixar Cars cars. He really wanted Cars 2 cars, but they aren’t sold in many stores anymore. After I purchased this set for his birthday, I realized there was a pack of real Disney Pixar Cars with characters that actually appear together in the Cars 2 movie at Target for $10 less. I wish I had searched more before purchasing this, because I really only wanted Holley Shiftwell and Finn McMissile. The other cars in this Amazon pack aren’t even from Cars 2. The vehicles themselves don’t have the same bottoms or wheel quality as real Disney cars, so it seems like they would be less expensive.

While they look pretty good, and seem like decent quality, I’m pretty sure these are knockoffs. Compared to the “official” die cast Cars these are slightly different proportions (comparing lighting McQueen directly) and all say “made in China” while all of the official die cast Cars say “Made in Thailand”

I purchased this for my grandson for Christmas and I know he will be very excited. It came in a nice box and they are very sturdy cars. Seems to be a good quality metal like I had when I was a kid.

Kid is obsessed with the movie and has multiple other vehicles. These went well for the third movie obsession and have lasted. Paint is good. And quality of toy is good.
