I bought four of these lights for my DJ business. Now, I know that they were not going to be made of high-end, heavy-duty, thick plastic. I knew for just a little more than $11 each to not get my hopes up too high. Two of the lights work perfectly…..so far. They are sufficiently bright, practically silent, and are a great value! On one light, the little dial on-off switch came apart (no screw, it’s supposed to snap in place) and would not snap back. It was like that when I received it. So, I just wrapped a bunch of electrical tape around the switch in the “on” position since I really don’t need the switch anyway (I used a power strip to switch my DJ lights on and off). The fourth one had to be returned because of a short in the power cable, at the flexible point just as the cable reaches the plug. If I wiggle the cord at that point, the lights comes on and off but it would never stay on if I let go of the cord. All in all, I’m very happy with the lights and would buy more in the future if I need them. My only main suggestion is to handle them with kid gloves. It’s obvious that they are NOT durable and even a moderate jolt (like accidentally dropping them) would be the end of their operating existence. The fact that Amazon makes it SO easy to return defective items for a refund (or replacement) is why I continue to be a faithful shopper.

As a DJ, I have this and its blue counterpart setup to add a bit of je ne sais quoi to the rest of my lighting. Very bright. I’ve used it for over two years now. I only have two complaints. The first is the two-hour duty cycle recommended by the instructions. The other issue is that I can’t find the power requirements anywhere–I have no idea how much power these use. As a DJ, the rest of my lights happen to be LEDs, so I do worry how much power these use. They haven’t tripped a breaker or anything, even on top of three laptops, a 600-watt continuous, 1200-peak subwoofer, and 4 LEDs/2 lasers running from the same outlet, so I assume it’s nothing major, but it would’ve been nice if the figures were in the instructions.

I bought this to put on top of my virtual pinball machine. It’s nice and big, measuring 7″ tall. It runs on 120V AC with a quality plug, but the unit itself is pretty cheaply made. The light and mirror doesn’t actually rotate around, but instead just the mirror rotates around the light. This still gives a nice sense of a siren effect, but not as good as a true spot light circulating the room. I pulled off the red cover and noticed the screw holding the rotating mirror to motor was lose. I had to tighten it with a screwdirver. I’m glad I opened it up and heightened it as I’m not sure how long it would have worked before coming completely lose and falling off. But, overall for what I paid, this light will work great for my application and therefore was worth the money I spent. 4 star rating.

This works perfect for my needs. When my daughter has her headphones on she canโt hear me when I make announcements using Alexa. I plugged this into a smart plug and I can have Alexa turn it on to get her attention. One of the key features is that it has a mechanical on off switch on the cord. You turn it on it stays on. If this had a button on the unit it probably wouldnโt work in this application.

We purchased a red and blue to use as a stage prop. The red lens is not nearly as dark as the blue and it was ok, but the blue didn’t really work for our purposes. So, I found here on Amazon E12 LEDs (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JLPDBZD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that replace the 15w incandescent bulbs this comes with and now they look great.

Really dim. Works best in dark areas. I needed it for a well-lit room. Cannot be mounted on a wall. It needs to be used as pictured or I would assume upside-down. If on a wall it fails to rotate.

I haven’t used this product much but the bulb has already blown and I’ve only used it for 1 month.
