   My desk at work has been lacking in decoration, especially when compared to my coworkers. So I thought I would get this as a novelty item to put on my desk once we return to the office (if we ever get to return). I am long time fan of Volkswagen. This toy hearkens back to childhood when you would see VW micro buses everywhere. It looks good and functions well when you pull it back and release it. Even my roommate has enjoyed this toy.

   For the price I wasn’t expecting much but this bus is very well made, a really good color of red, (not bright red), and better than I had hoped. I used to own a 63 and this brings back some good memories. For some reason I thought it would be a matchbox size but it is 5.25″ x 2″. Very cool bus.

   We had this exact Red VW Bus in the ’80s in Germany when we were stationed there with the military. I sold Tupperware and it was amazing how much I could stuff into that bus when the delivery day came. We drove the wheels off that bus! We loved it so much that we purchased a 2nd vehicle which was a newer model VW Bus in Gold color. I have a Pink VW Bus on a shelf above my desktop as I would like to purchase one someday. I then added the Red VW Bus to that shelf. I love the detail and quality. Who would think that this was JUST for kids to play with ….
