Our grandson, who just turned 4, is a real truck enthusiast. He knows all the names and what they do, so I knew this would be a toy he would enjoy. The tough part was picking out the right one. This truck is a little pricey, but is well made and looks like it will stand the test of time. I read other reviews carefully before purchasing, and realized that many toy trucks are not that well made. People complained of them breaking in very short periods of time, but the Bruder brand really seems to take quality seriously. I plan on buying him a couple of more for Christmas, and I will definitely buy this brand again. It is worth a little extra money to get a toy that will last. It is also very realistic…he told me that this one “inspired” him!! It is also a good size for him to handle. He has large Tonka steel trucks for outside play, but this is perfect for indoors. All in all, a good pick!

This is the best toy excavator ever! BUY THIS TOY!!!! My son destroys every toy he receives. We have had this toy for little over a month and he has not managed to do any damage. He plays with it constantly and it is still in tact. This toy comes with a little driver and my son has ripped off the legs at least once a day since he received it and they just snap right back in. This toy is destruction proof!!! It is the toy to buy. We will only be buying Bruder from now on when it comes to construction toys. It is absolutely worth the cost.

My grandson loves this and plays with it all the time. However, be aware there are two parts that are choke hazards. First, the hard hat came off the doll and second, the mirror easily comes off the door. Both items are very small and unnecessary. Throw them away!

Bruder trucks are the best – my 3 year old son loves them but also realizes they are special so he plays carefully (while still all boy). They hold up well and are so very realistic! Great “special” gift!
